She served as President of the Armstrong-Osborne Library Board for fifteen years, and was active in fundraising for The Imagination Library, a charity promoting children's literacy. She was a member of the Talladega Junior League and The Argus Club. An active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, she served on the Altar Guild and was a member of Daughters of the King.
